Air Cooled Heat Exchangers

Air cooled heat exchangers (ACHX) play a vital role in removing heat from the data center cooling process by using fans to draw air across the heat exchanger to the outside of the building.

Chart owns the Air-X-Changers, Hudson Products and Smithco brands and offers a comprehensive portfolio of heat exchangers proven across multiple industries available as standard or custom-designed configurations to meet the specifics of each project. With our extensive application expertise, we ensure our heat exchangers are optimised achieving the strongest and most efficient performance within the smallest footprint.

In 2026 we introduced Kaldris. Specifically engineered for data center cooling, dense heat exchanger bundles deliver significantly greater heat transfer performance within the same plot area and a single large-diameter Tuf-Lite IV™ fan serves multiple bundles replacing up to 15 smaller fans and their associated drivetrain. The result is fewer rotating components, better aerodynamic efficiency, and a dramatically cleaner maintenance profile.
